mentoring
Sometimes what a student needs is less educational, and more motivational, emotional or developmental. In these situations, a mentor may be closer to what they need than a tutor. Budding Tutoring has experience providing mentoring support to clients, including through the NDIS.
A Mentoring Session Can Look Like…
A discussion between the mentor and the mentee at their own home about the highlights and lowlights of the week;
A couple of hours spent working on some skills or crafts at the local library;
An ordered session developing a plan for how to deal with a specific issue for the mentee; or
Whatever the client, mentor and mentee think is best.
Eligibility
Clients can organise mentoring by contacting Budding and coordinating a mentor to provide sessions with their new mentee, or clients who have access to relevant NDIS funding can get in contact and we can work through how best to fit our mentor with your needs.
